New COVID rules

A new emergency decree was signed on Tuesday evening and came into force today, 6th November. It has again stopped short of a full national lockdown but has introduced a national curfew between 10pm and 5am. It has also introduced a 3 tier national framework meaning that different rules apply in different regions of the country. The tiers are graded yellow, orange and red.

The whole country has been placed in the yellow tier as a minimum. Piedmont (where we are) along with Lombardy, Calabria, & Valle d’Aosta are in the red tier, the highest possible.

Red zone: Travel between neighbouring municipalities is forbidden. Even moving around your own area is forbidden unless you can prove you are travelling for essential reasons. If you do go outside you need to carry with you a self declaration form. Bars, cafes restaurants and shops are closed to the public unless they are deemed as essential, for example supermarkets. Face masks must be worn at all times.

International travellers to Italy: Travellers from the UK, along with other European countries, are required to provide a negative PCR test or take a test on arrival. Many airports now have testing facilities. If you’re arriving with a test result then it must have been carried out no more than 72 hours before arrival.

The decree will be in place until 3rd December.

Just wanted to say that we had a great week and to thank you for all your assistance in arranging everything for us. Roll on next year!

Tony P.

The transfers we booked were professional and hassle free notwithstanding our late arrival. For the return we were greeted on time with great service. The ski hire was also of excellent quality.

Used Sauzeonline for our airport transfer and ski hire. The service they provided was excellent. Could not have been more helpful replying to many emails due to questions on travel due to Covid. The transfer service was fantastic and the hire shop very helpful. Thankyou for making our holiday special.

C. Knowles

Great service from James prior to arriving. Really went above and beyond. The rental shop was ideally situated at the bottom of the lift. Can't wait to return!

Sauzeonline provide great value ski and snowboard hire from a selection of shops in good locations throughout the town – so we were able to find shops suitable for all our group (not all of whom were staying in the same place). James was also incredibly helpful in resolving an issue one of our group had with his snowboard hire [and arranged a full refund]. We would definitely recommend Sauzeonline both in terms of excellent value and service.
