SAUZE D’OULX PISTES
With 62% of the slopes graded as intermediate, Sauze d’Oulx is a paradise for intermediate skiers looking to clock up the miles. Many of the resort’s red runs weave through picturesque larch forests, offering long, scenic descents all the way back to the village and making them a favourite with skiers. The highest point in the resort is the Fraiteve mountain where you’ll find more challanging runs. This is also the cross roads of the Vialattea where you can choose to ski into neighbouring resorts of Sestriere and Sansicario.
Beginners are well catered for too, with a selection of gentle blue runs that are perfect for building confidence. The dedicated beginner area is located in Sportinia, over 2,000 metres up the mountain, giving first-time skiers the chance to experience the stunning mountain environment from day one.
SAUZE D’OULX PISTE MAP
Sauze d’Oulx is part of the ViaLattea ski area often referred to as the Milky Way. The area covers resorts including Sestriere and the French ski resort of Montgenevre.
It is possible to ski over to Montgenevre and back in one day if you are a competent intermediate skier. Snowboarders will be pleased to know that most of the lifts are chair lifts.
