Happy 10th birthday!

I can’t believe it, sauzeonline is now officially 10 years old! Where have the years gone?? To celebrate this milestone I have decided to give the website a facelift and more importantly adapt it to work across the plethora of devices that we now use whilst surfing the web.

I first registered the domain name back in September 2005 with the intention of launching the new website for the 2005/06 winter season. At the time it was nothing more than a pet project, something to help with my full time job in IT.

I chose to build a website about Sauze because I’d spent many happy seasons working here in the late 80’s and early 90’s and I thought that there was potentially a gap in the web space for an informative site aimed at people who were researching the resort or who had already booked to come but wanted to know a little more about it. I also secretly thought and hoped that it would lead me back to the mountains.

In the beginning the site was purely providing information. You couldn’t actually book anything or do anything on the site. Additional services have since been added and it is now possible to book all aspects of your holiday through the website. Hotels, airport transfers, equipment hire and ski/snowboard school can all be booked quickly and conveniently.

I hope you like the new look and more importantly I hope you find the site useful.
