Road cycling
There is an abundance of challenging and rewarding cycling on offer in the area around Sauze d’Oulx. Famous climbs from the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia are close by along with some fantastic rides along lesser well known roads.

Many of the famous cols in the area are closed to vehicles on certain days throughout the summer giving cyclists safe access to the climbs. The Galibier, Izoard, Moncenisio, Telegraph and Iseran all have bike only days and are all accessible from Sauze d’Oulx.

This years edition of the Giro will take place between 3rd & 25th October. The first 3 stages are in Hungary before heading over to Sicily. The riders then wind their way up the peninsular heading towards the mountains. The nearest stage to us will be stage 20 with a mountain top finish in Sestriere.
